How to attach a channel to a merchant

  1. Are you ready?

    In this tutorial we will learn how to attach a previously created channel to a new merchant and to an existing one.

    We will use the following parameters:
    Channel: Test Channel (created in How to add a new channel tutorial)
  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Management => Merchant Perspective.

    Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
  3. Channel can be attached in three ways:
    • to a new merchant using New Merchant form;
    • to a new merchant using New Merchant (Extended) form;
    • to an existing merchant using General form.
  4. Let's learn how to attach a channel to a new merchant using New Merchant form.
  5. Click   Newbutton in the top section of the screen.
  6. Choose   Merchant  menu item  from the list.
  7. Fill out necessary information using Creating a merchant (basic) tutorial and then proceed with the steps below:
  8. Locate   Merchant  groupbox
  9. Select Test Channel in Channeldropdown
  10. Click   Savebutton
  11. Next, let's learn how to attach a channel to a new merchant using New Merchant (Extended) form.
  12. Click   Newbutton in the top section of the screen.
  13. Choose   Merchant (Extended)  menu item  from the list.
  14. Fill out necessary information using Creating a merchant with processing settings or Creating a merchant with remittance settings tutorial and then proceed with the steps below:
  15. Locate   Settings  groupbox
  16. Select Test Channel in Channeldropdown
  17. Click   Savebutton
  18. Finally, let's learn how to attach a channel to an existing merchant using General form.
  19. Select appropriate Merchant or Merchant Account in the top left section of the screen.
  20. Click   Detailsbutton in the top section of the screen.
  21. Choose   General  menu item  from the list.
  22. Locate   Detail  groupbox
  23. Select Test Channel in Channeldropdown
  24. Click   Savebutton
  25. Congratulations, you are done!
