How to create a scheduled payment

  1. Are you ready?

    In this tutorial we will learn how to create a scheduled payment. Scheduled payment is created in cases when there is a payment that is not included in a current payment plan of a customer, but it must be performed in the future.

    We will use the following parameters:
    Customer's Name: John Smith
    Description of the payment: Club dues
    Amount: $35
    Date: 12/31/2024
    Invoice: included (invoice is generated on the same day as payment)
    Type of payment: Credit card
    Credit card number: 1234567887654321
    Expiration date: 02/20
    Address:
    300 5th Ave
    New York
    10001, NY
  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Console Perspective.

    Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
  3. Select appropriate Merchant or Merchant Account in the top left section of the screen.
  4. Click   Customersbutton in the top section of the screen.
  5. Choose   List  menu item   from the list.
  6. Locate   Search  groupbox
  7. Enter John into the First Nametextbox
  8. Enter Smith into the Last Nametextbox
  9. Click   Findbutton
  10. Locate   Customer Account List  groupbox
  11. Click   View Customerbutton next to the desirable customer.
  12. Locate   Scheduled Payments  groupbox
  13. Click   Newbutton
  14. Locate   New Scheduled Payment  groupbox in the opened form.
  15. Enter Club dues into the Descriptioncolumn
  16. Enter 35 into the Amountcolumn
  17. Enter 12/31/2024 into the Datecolumn
  18. Locate   Create Invoice  checkbox and check it off.
  19. Choose Credit Card  radio button  
  20. Locate   Credit Card  groupbox
  21. Select Create new in Existingdropdown
  22. Enter John Smith into the Name on Accounttextbox
  23. Enter 1234567887654321 into the Credit Card #textbox
  24. Select 02/20 in Exp Datedropdown
  25. Enter 300 5th Ave into the Streettextbox
  26. Enter New York into the Citytextbox
  27. Select United States and New York in Statedropdown
  28. Enter 10001 into the ZIP Codetextbox
  29. Click   Savebutton
  30. Congratulations, you are done!
