In this lesson you will learn how to access user interface of your gateway and how to do basic navigation.

  1. 01 Your work with TidyPay online-portal starts with getting two emails that include logon information: the first email - with access URL and your user name, and the second email - with your password. Your emails should look similar to what is shown in the screenshot.
  2. 02 Begin by practicing Logging in and navigating the application tutorial using the information that you received in your account set-up email.

  3. 03 Now that you have learned how to log in and do basic navigation, let's continue with some terms related to user interface.
  4. 04 Perspective is the core element of User Interface. It's a set of forms and actions designed to simplify the work process within a specific business context. A perspective is designed to group together related fuctionality and to allow user to perform different actions in minimum number of clicks.
  5. 05 There are several types of perspectives. Let's review them.
  6. 06 Console is a perspective that is designed to function as a virtual terminal for merchants. The purpose of this perspective is to provide easy access to the information that merchants most commonly require for their business, such as access to transactions, chargebacks, batches, statements, as well as recurring billing functionality (if the recurring module is activated within the system).

  8. 08 Management is a group of perspectives designed to streamline back-office operations. It is generally used by the employees of the payment service provider that maintain the gateway. It provides easy access to functionality for the management of merchants, resellers, users and portfolios.

    Management group contains four perspectives:
    • Merchant perspective is an arrangement of available forms and actions that are needed to work efficiently with Merchants and Accounts.
    • Reseller perspective is an arrangement of available forms and actions that are needed to work efficiently with Reseller records.
    • Portfolio perspective is an arrangement of available forms and actions that are needed for managing information about resellers, merchants, documentation, etc.
    • User perspective is an arrangement of available forms and actions that are needed to work efficiently with User records.
    • Terminal perspective is an arrangement of available forms and actions that are needed for storing of the information, parameters and resources associated with terminals owned by a particular merchant, managing updates (Terminal Management System), and monitoring and saving logs.
    • Distributions perspective is an arrangement of available forms and actions that are needed to provide access to the common functionality of distribution recipients such as vendor or holding account.
    • Fulfillment perspective is an arrangement of available forms and actions that are needed to set up terminal configurations, work with users' terminal orders, control and modify shipping conditions, set up injection keys and regulate terminal modules available for fulfillment.
  9. 09 Administration is a group of perspectives designed to manage the application by system and software administrators.

    Administration group contain two perspectives:
    • Setup perspective is an arrangement of forms and actions used by non-technical (business-oriented) administrators of the system to manage setup of various system-wide settings.
    • System perspective is the arrangement of forms and actions used by technical administrators to manage setup of various system-wide settings (these settings are more software and hardware-related than business-related).
    • Audit perspective is the arrangement of forms and actions used by technical administrators of the system to analyze different types of activity in the system, to review errors, to detect changes to merchant, reseller, user information, etc.
    • Monitoring perspective is the arrangement of forms and actions used by non-technical administrators of the system to diagnose various problems that may occur to various remittance and processing related issues.
